Women in general, and minority women in particular, have so often not been mentored or groomed for leadership. Leadership Moves is a place where you can come with your hopes and fears, strengths and weaknesses, and forge bonds with other women leaders to grow individually and communally. Heathery Kaye and Angela Franco create an environment with focus and skill to lead you through a series of experiences that will challenge and encourage you on many levels. Are you ready to soar, to be fully present, to be vulnerable and engage? It takes grit to succeed. Come to Leadership Moves and step up to the next level.

Leadership Moves is a group of seasoned leaders who meet every other month as a peer learning community. Together we help one another solve strategic issues or intractable problems, strengthen and stretch individual leadership capacity. Candid, focused discussions with other leaders helps to clarify issues and convert concerns into practical action.

Heather Kaye and Angela Franco, executive coach/facilitators with experience in the nonprofit sector, manage the sessions with an eye on producing the maximum benefit for each participant. The facilitators keep the agenda on target and appropriately paced, and acts as a proactive contributor. Between meetings members meet informally and have access to additional coaching if needed.

Benefits

Participants form a supportive team of peers for:

  • Clarifying complex issues—making the invisible visible.
  • Developing new ways to solve chronic problems.
  • Converting thoughts into actions and providing peer accountability.
  • Building a solid support network with other senior executives committed to excellence.
  • Addressing the isolation and unique demands of being a top leader.
  • Encouragement and support when times are tough.
  • Support between meeting.
  • Coaching offered as needed.

The professional network and peer support I have received through InVision programs has been vital. Knowing someone has my back has upped my confidence and allowed me to move to new levels of leadership.

Leadership Moves

Create a support system to help Hispanic and minority women move to the next level, professionally and personally. Together, we will create the conversations and spaces to understand what is stopping us from growing and how we can connect with the mainstream world without intimidation or fear. This is a group that will work in understanding what intentional changes we have in order to be a positive influence on the world.

A dozen seasoned colleagues and two excellent facilitators provide the expertise and the space away from daily demands that facilitate probing discussion of issues that find little outlet elsewhere: specifically, sector-wide concerns such as merger trends and governance structures; and management challenges such as human resource development or responsible growth and collaboration.
