Heather Kaye

For more than a decade Heather has fostered leader’s inner strength, presence and vision to take a commanding stand for the causes that make our communities and our world stronger and healthier. She works with leaders across the region to promote an agenda of support for those on the front line of social change and service. Heather inspires social profit leaders through expert coaching and hands-on peer group support. She is a seasoned executive coach and facilitator who brings 30 years of experience working with and for nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and corporations.

To augment her work in the sector Heather developed the Executive Circle program. A dozen executives meet for an intensive two day facilitated gathering every four months as a peer learning community. In this setting they help one another solve strategic issues and onerous problems, strengthen and stretch individual leadership capacity, and improve performance. Candid, focused discussions with other executives help to clarify issues and convert concerns and nagging questions into practical new actions.

In 2008 Heather married her expertise in executive coaching and facilitation with her passion to support nonprofit organizations to create The Leadership Sanctuary. Overwhelm, burnout and scarcity thinking were chronic issues for her clients and throughout the sector. TLS provides a forum for leaders from a mix of organization size, experience and issue area to come together in small groups to build a practice of resiliency, share case studies and develop a trusting community. Since the inception of the program in 2008, she has worked with hundreds of leaders and won support from major foundations that focus on building a strong nonprofit sector.

She is an accomplished facilitator with an ear for hearing what’s not said, tackling unexpected challenges and galvanizing teams behind over- arching goals. Through workshops, retreats, team facilitation and individual coaching, Heather has worked with leaders to build capacity, foster employee and volunteer engagement, help leaders realize their visions and transform plans into measurable results.

Heather is the founder and President of Invision LLC, Executive Circle and The Leadership Sanctuary and holds a Masters degree in Organizational Development from American University. Heather is also a graduate of Leadership Greater Washington and the National Speakers Association, a member of the International Coaches Federation and the author of Awakening Vision and Purpose. She has been on the faculty of both Newfield Network Coaching and American University.
