Executive Circle

Executive Circle

You may not feel you have anyone with the right experience to understand your issue or provide the concrete help you need. It’s lonely at the top. Maybe you have developed a few confidants through social or recreational organizations, but rarely find the time or have the trust to really tackle an important issue. Being a top level leader means you are challenged to make the tough decisions—often by yourself.

People underestimate the human dynamics of the situation–whether it be loneliness or the reality that, if you screw up, there’s nobody to help.— Stepping up to CEO

Build a Trusted Community

At Executive Circle become part of a community of leaders, share confidential conversations, work through gritty challenges and advance your goals for yourself and your organization. Take this opportunity to build a trusted community with like-minded leaders, break-through your leadership challenges, advance your goals for your organization and possibly influence the nonprofit community as a whole.

How it Works

Each Circle is a closed group of 12-14 executives who meet every four months as a peer learning community. Each gathering takes place in a retreat setting for two days near the Washington DC area and is facilitated by two executive master coaches. This focused approach creates the environment for safe, confidential conversation. For all the specifics about upcoming Circles visit Executive Circle. Read the Buzz from Circle members experiences.

The Leadership Sanctuary

Some of us step into leadership with intention. Others of us back into it. Either way, the actions of leadership and being a leader take time, focus and awareness on key practices. Many of us neither have the time nor the place to step back and set intentions, assess and learn practices and share challenges with peers. The Leadership Sanctuary give leaders this opportunity. We have worked with over 200 leaders in the nonprofit sector and want to use our small group format to reach leaders who want to succeed, thrive and lead effectively.

The Leadership Sanctuary offers nonprofit Executive Directors low-cost group counseling for half a day, once a month. Click here for all the details about this highly regarded program.

I have been in other leadership groups, including Vistage, and none of them have come close to being as helpful to me as Executive Circle. The power of being part of a like-minded group is profound. I really like that InVision focuses not only on the intellectual and leadership aspects of running a nonprofit but on the emotional and spiritual dimensions. It has really been a game-changer for me.
